We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is certified in Dental Radiation, Hazardous Communication, Infection Control, and CPR and First Aid for children and adults. Our full time staff has a combined total of more than 30 years of orthodontic experience. Most of our staff started here as patients! Our part time staff members are all former patients who return here every summer to work during college break. Most of them are currently working toward a degree in Dental Hygiene. Our staff is a fun loving bunch that enjoys seeing our patients every month!
Cheryl – Financial Coordinator/Office Manager
Cheryl is from Mechanicsville, VA. She has worked for Dr. Nicholas Germane as office manager for 14 years. Cheryl is married to Jeff and they have two daughters, Alison and Sydney who keep them very busy. She is also the mother of a Boston Terrier, Shelby. She is a graduate of East Carolina University and is still a pirate at heart!
Kattie- Treatment Coordinator
Kattie grew up in Mechanicsville. She has been working as the treatment coordinator for Dr. Nicholas Germane for almost a year now. She currently resides in King William with her husband Daniel, daughter Macey, dog Smokey and cats Slick and Sammie. Kattie is a graduate of Atlee High School. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and shopping.She also has a love for ballet, jazz and tap dancing which she has put on hold since her daughter was born. She hopes to get back to it in the future.
Cricket - Orthodontic Assistant
Cricket has worked for Dr. Germane for four and a half years as an Orthodontic Assistant, but actually came to Dr. Germane as a patient in 1999. She is currently in school to pursue her dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist. She has three horses and two dogs. She enjoys rodeo-ing, barrel racing, calf roping and spending time out on the boat on the weekends (instead of studying!)
Layla – Records Coordinator/Lab Coordinator
Layla grew up in Mechanicsville and King William. She currently lives in King William with her husband Eddie, son, Max, daughter, Winnie, two dogs, one cat and one chinchilla. After serving in the Army she worked for TWA, before coming to Dr. Germane’s office in 2001. When she isn’t working she enjoys football (COWBOYS!), camping, reading, movies, music and spending time with her family.
Madison- Orthodontic Assistant
Madison is currently a student at J. Sargeant Reynolds and has been working at our office for one and half years. She loves spending time at home with her family and her friends and three pets Roxy, Luca and Buddy. She enjoys movie nights at home and shopping :) She loves to travel, but the beach is definitely her favorite place to be.
Morgan – Orthodontic Assistant
Morgan is currently a student at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and has been working with Dr. Germane for 3 years now. She is a graduate of Lee Davis High School. She plans to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. In her free time she likes to hang out with her friends, shop, and watch movies. She has a dog named Peanut.
